"Why do you have to be so damn perfect?"

For her, that is. They fit together like two pieces of a puzzle, somehow, and when they allow things to be that way everything just sort of... flows. And when Bruce lets himself be there for her the way he wants to be, he always does and says the right things somehow.

She clears her throat and shakes her head a little, shutting her eyes tightly for a moment before looking at him again.

"I'm not going to cry."

"I really am not."

He smiles a little saying that, though, knowing what she means. To an extent, at least. And saying the right thing now is about the only thing he can do to help her be a little more sure that he won't hurt her again.

The heels of his thumbs wipe across her eyes as she closes them, and he leans in to kiss over the eyelids, then her nose, letting his forehead rest against hers.

"That's alright too."

They are both kind of messed up people, really, but together they can change and grow and become parts of something that isn't messed up at all. Something healthy and good.

"Let's just make out like a couple of college kids instead."

Seems like a way better idea than crying.

It works pretty well, how they fit together and so easily fill the gaps that they're lacking, be it with respect, humor, affection, love. It's a wonderful sensation, one Bruce hasn't experienced in a long time - to feel whole again.

He chuckles at her words, smile on his lips as he nods slowly.

"Can't say I mind that idea much."

Tipping his head, he kisses her again, slow and lingering as he parts his lips just a little.

It really is very difficult to stay sad when his kisses just make her want to squirm with delight.

As she gently lets the tip of her tongue trace his bottom lip, she feels a little nervous thrill, as if she were doing it for the first time.

Perhaps it's because of all the possibilities that are open to them in this place. The things they might try.

It's been a little difficult, or impossible actually, to shake that nervous feeling itching just beneath his skin, ever since they started planning this trip, and it only increased the closer they got to this place. It's a good kind of feeling, though, even if it comes with no small amount of hesitance and concern, but he loves the excitement of knowing they're trying something new. Of what they might just accomplish here.

His lip responds by brushing up against her tongue, the tip of his own returning the gesture and tracing along her upper lip. Shifting close, he puts one arm around her, hand resting flat at the center of her back.

She uses the leg she'd wrapped over him to pull herself closer, pressing her hips against him as much as she can though the angle isn't ideal. There is just something about kissing him that always tends to make her greedy, probably because it's so lovely, and she deepens the kiss with a sigh of pleasure that ends in the hint of a tiny little moan.

Well, he wasn't exactly planning on going all in right away, but he can't say he minds that even one bit. She's always been the kind to take the lead anyway, and as always, he very much enjoys the way she presses herself closer to him, his hand sliding down to the small of her back so he can guide her along, his mouth parting in a soft gasp, deepening the kiss in the process.

Trish isn't planning anything at all at the moment, she's just going with her instincts here and her instincts all pretty much say "more Bruce" so that's what she's aiming for here.

That gasp of his does things to her and she kisses him very thoroughly until breathing becomes a necessity and she has to break away.

"Wow, can't let you be in the house for five minutes before jumping you."

Her instincts do tend to have her wrap herself around him more often than not, especially when they're kissing. Couple that with the fact they're alone in the middle of nowhere, lying down on a very comfortable bed, and they've finished unpacking and have absolutely nothing to do next, well... seems like the perfect combination.

He doesn't draw away from her, even as he regains his breath, his lips still hovering hers.

"You don't hear me complaining, do you?"

Tilting his head, he kisses along her jaw and down her neck, his hand fumbling with her shirt and sliding underneath the fabric.

She can restrain herself. Sometimes.

But not really when lying on a bed in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing pressing to do. Then the whole self control thing just becomes utterly impossible.

"No, thank god."

Because what he is doing instead of complaining is heavenly.

Luckily for her, this isn't a situation where she needs to restrain herself. Bruce has been buzzing with all this pent-up energy and anticipation as it is, chances are he wouldn't want to wait much longer himself either.

"Good, then... I can keep going."

As his hand slides farther up her back, his mouth travels down her neck and throat, kissing the hollow between her collarbones. His nose brushes along the collar of her shirt, down to the first button, his hand drawing from her back so it can undo it, then move on to the next.

"I'd like that."

She feels some of the tense anticipation loosen just from having his hands and lips on her, and she relaxes, playing with his hair while he works on the buttons of her shirt.

Despite her having jumped him so eagerly earlier on, he takes things very slowly now, undoing one button after the other until her shirt's open completely. His hand slides underneath the fabric, parting it aside as his fingers trace along her collarbone and up to her shoulder, lips moving farther down her chest.

The slow pace is nice and familiar, and the was he touches her as if she is something almost sacred that he needs to handle with the outmost care might have rubbed her the wrong way coming from another man, but not when it's Bruce. There is after all a very real risk involved in their love making, and he manage to make the careful approach almost unbearably erotic every single time.

He definitely has more than enough energy and eagerness in him to go at this quick and rushed, but he knows if he does that, he'll have to stop soon, like he had to other times before. So he'd rather do things slow and carefully, calmly guiding the shirt down her arm, urging her to sit up so he can take it off of her entirely.

She sits up, smiling as he garment is removed and reaching for his shirt to return the favor, leaning in to kiss his neck before slowly undoing button after button, taking her time and appreciating the view of his chest becoming more and more exposed until she can run her hands over all of it and push the shirt off his shoulders.

He stays where he is at first, lying back on the bed as he tosses her shirt out of the way, only sitting up once she gets his own shirt completely unbuttoned. Once he's on his knees, he helps her by shrugging it off, his hands then sliding down her arms and settling on her sides, leaning in and kissing her slowly.

She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him back, lips moving slowly against his while she focuses on her breathing, matching it to his to slowly fall into a strange sensation of oneness. As if they aren't two people kissing but one entity.

He doesn't even realize it at first, his hands rounding her sides and sliding up her back until they reach her bra, and he undoes the hook. Letting out a soft chuckle, he pulls away from the kiss a little, guiding her bra down her arms and getting it out of the way.

"Are you breathing like me?"

She actually looks a tiny bit bashful when he asks, but she nods.

"Yes. I started doing it because it helps me fall asleep sometimes and I just thought I'd see what would happen if I did it while you were touching me like this."

He sees no reason for her to be bashful. It's sweet and touching, and he feels a warmth spread through his chest when she explains it like that, his heart feeling almost too big for his ribcage.

"I couldn't possibly love you more than I do right this moment."

Said as he presses his lips to hers again, his hands cupping her neck, then slowly sliding down her front, lightly brushing over her breasts.

She breaks the kiss with a little gasp when his palms brush over her nipples, making them harden instantly, her voice breathless as she speaks.

"That's my line."

He chuckles softly, his thumbs brushing over her hardened nipples more presently, wanting to draw another sound from her before his touch slides across her stomach, reaching the waist of her pants and starting to undo them.

"Too late. I said it first, it's my intellectual property now."

He gets his wish, another sharp gasp that ends in a soft little moan as she looks down at his hands, watches them move over her skin.

"Does that mean I have to pay you every time I want to use it?"
