"No, but I want to."

It's the whole reason why he asked about shampoo - not if she wanted it, but if he could do that himself.

[notpatsy]

"Okay then."

She is definitely not in the mood to say no to Bruce touching her in any sort of way, a startling contrast to how she felt when she first laid eyes on him.

[hyperkinesia]

Well, she kind of looked like she could have broken his hand if he tried to so much as reach out to her when they first ran into each other here, so that's definitely a welcome change.

He spreads the suds down the length of her hair, covering it all up with the shampoo, then massages her scalp for a little while longer.

"Step under the spray, please?"

[notpatsy]

She would at least have been sorely tempted, even if she couldn't actually act on such impulses for obvious reasons.

"So polite."

She does as he asks, stepping out of the spray to rinse the shampoo out of her hair, feeling a little as if tension is swirling down into the drain along with the suds.

[hyperkinesia]

"Thank you. I try."

He slides his hands down her hair, helping wash off the suds by smoothing out the strands down her shoulders and back. Cradling the back of her head with one hand, he leans in, pressing his lips to hers under the spray, having to part soon after but still lingering close, smiling a little at the feeling of the spray of water landing on their faces.

Since her eyes are closed the kiss came as a bit of a surprise, drawing a muffled little sound from her though it was doubtlessly a please one.

She opens her eyes to smile at Bruce, grabbing the shampoo bottle.

"My turn."

[hyperkinesia]

He nods, all too happy to let her return the favor. He's always loved her hands in his hair, after all, so of course he doesn't even think to tell her she doesn't have to do it either.

"Should we switch places?"

So that he's closer to the spray himself.

[notpatsy]

"Might be good."

She squirts some shampoo into her hand and then moves around him so that their positions are reversed, and then reaches up to start working the shampoo into his hair.

She has always enjoyed the effect playing with his hair has on Bruce. The way it seems to make him relax so completely.

[hyperkinesia]

He does the same, moving around so that their positions switch, and he's getting most of the spray hitting his back, some water sliding down his front.

His head tips towards her as she starts applying the shampoo, his eyes closing and already a soft pleased hum leaving him at feeling her fingers sift through his curls. God, he's missed this so much.

"I swear, you were a cat in a past life."

She can still vividly recall making this discovery, that playing with Bruce's hair will instantly turn him to mush. She thought it was adorable then, and she still does.

[hyperkinesia]

He chuckles lazily, though he doesn't open his eyes, still enjoying the way her fingers knead his scalp.

"Really? That's funny. I'm actually more of a dog person."

He gets why she's saying that, though, and he finds it both funny and sweet. His hands rest on her sides, rounding her waist as he pulls her just a little closer to him.

She is only too happy to be pulled closer, though she lets him decide how much so since things are always a little more dicey when they are both naked.

She gently nudges him so that his head comes under the spray, and rises the shampoo out of his hair

"Really? I mean you kind of look like a puppy but everything else about you is cat."

[hyperkinesia]

For now he's perfectly alright with being pressed up against her like this. Even if he gets aroused (which he probably will, and sooner rather than later), that still doesn't mean he'll have to step away from her. Just as long as they don't push things too far, it'll be fine.

He hopes so, at least, because feeling her this close is nothing short of heavenly, and he doesn't want to stop this just yet.

Tipping his head back, he dips his head under the water, eyes scrunched tightly as she rinses the shampoo out. Once most of it is gone, he leans his head forward again, grinning amusedly at her.

"I look like a puppy? Am I supposed to take that as a compliment?"

[notpatsy]

"No, just a statement of fact. It's the big brown eyes and floppy curls."

She's mostly kidding, she is a way too attracted to him to associate him with anything quite so innocent and adorable as a puppy.

[hyperkinesia]

"God, this all sounds terrible. Maybe I should cut my hair short again."

He's mostly joking here, although a haircut would probably do him some good right now.

"I love your big brown eyes!"

And the floppy curls, for that matter. Actually she loves all of him. Every single bit.

Yes, the other guy too.

"I could cut your hair for you though, if you want."

[hyperkinesia]

"You said they make me look like a dog!"

He's fighting back laughter, though, far too amused by this whole conversation.

"That would be nice, I'd like that. Just don't cut it too short."

[notpatsy]

"They also make you look like the sweetest, gentlest man on the planet."

He's being ridiculously cute, that's what's going on here.

She kisses the tip of his nose, just because.

"And I am madly in love with you and in no way think about puppies when I look at you because puppies are not hot, and you are."

[hyperkinesia]

He ducks his head, his smile turning warmer and more smitten when she says again that she loves him-- no, scratch that: when she says that she's in love with him. It almost feels as if his heart grows in his chest, far past the confines of his ribcage.

He pulls her closer and gets her underneath the warm spray too, feeling her breasts pressing against his chest.

"See, now that sounds like a much nicer compliment."

[notpatsy]

She rests her hands on his shoulders, smiling at him in just as smitten a way while she presses herself against him. Not really to make him hot and bothered, she just wants as much of her skin as possible to be pressed against his.

"And here I thought you weren't a vain man."

[hyperkinesia]

"Well, there you have it. Another big secret of mine."

It really isn't, not at all. If anything he shies away from compliments and praise much more often than not.

His hands slide up her back, reaching her shoulders and rounding them to follow the flow of the water as it cascades down her front.

[notpatsy]

She lets out a long, shivering sigh as his hands slide over her body, the sensation so familiar and yet new at the same time.

"I won't tell. Promise."

[hyperkinesia]

"Good. Thank you."

It's a rediscovery to him too, his hands as if learning again paths that they had treaded before, and finding them just as wonderful. Her skin is as warm as he remembered, as soft as he dreamed - he could get lost in the curves of her body and wouldn't mind not being found for days or weeks.

He cups her breasts lightly, but not lingering for long, his hands continuing to travel across her stomach and down to her navel, his eyes following that trip all along.

"I missed this... you." He looks up, smiling. "You're beautiful."

[notpatsy]

"So are you."

She really means that. Bruce is beautiful to her in every way a person can be. She looks down at his hands, loving the sight of them on her skin.

"I missed your hands so much."

She'd missed all of him of course, but sometimes certain details would stand out. She would find herself remembering a certain turn of phrase, a particular touch, a distinctive gesture and she would be a mess, having to rush off before anyone could see her cry.

[hyperkinesia]

"And I've missed touching you... feeling you."

He tips his head a little, brushing their noses together and letting their foreheads rest lightly against each other.

"We should-- shower gel."

Not just so they won't spend too much time under the water, but mostly because he really wants to have his soapy hands touching her everywhere.
