He smiles a little against her lips, pulling back as he sifts his fingers through strands of her hair again.

"What about your job?"

[notpatsy]

"I think I'm allowed some vacation time."

Even talk show hosts get to take breaks every now and then, damnit.

"Alright. Fair enough."

He settles his arms loosely around her waist, lifting one shoulder in a half-shrug.

"Well... I'm pretty much unemployed and dependant on my very rich girlfriend right now, so this works for me."

[notpatsy]

"Alright, two weeks of making out it is."

She's not entirely sure how serious she's being here, but she does know that she intends to stay in this place for a little while just to make sure that there isn't really any leads here.

"Perfect by me."

Here or back in New York, he honestly doesn't care. It'd probably be good for the both of them to spend those first days away from prying eyes and nosy cameras anyway.

"And then people can wonder why I sound so bright and bubbly when I get back on the air."

It will be, ladies and gentlemen, because she has been getting laid.

"I'm pretty sure they'll figure it out sooner or later."

Bruce isn't exactly planning to lock himself up indoors once he's back in New York, so he imagines it's just a matter of time until people see them together around the city.

"Well obviously. And it will probably be annoying but I won't give a fuck."

If people feel like blogging about her getting back together with her 'favourite Avenger' fine, let them.

Technically not an Avenger anymore, but-- yes. Bruce won't really care about that either. Actually chances are he won't even see those posts unless someone points them out to him.

"I don't think anyone will mind. It's cute when you're happy."

[notpatsy]

"Cute, really? I don't know if I like that."

Says the woman who keeps calling Bruce adorable. Go go, double standards!

[hyperkinesia]

"Well that's too bad, because I love it."

Never mind that he protested when she called him adorable, but anyway.

[notpatsy]

She scrunches up her face a little (which is probably cute too, let's be real) but then shrugs a little and smiles.

"I guess in that case, I can deal."

Because why not just be completely gross about it if you're gonna be in a relationship anyway?

[hyperkinesia]

"Good."

He leans in and presses another soft peck to her lips.

"To keep things fair, you can call me adorable too if you want to. But only sometimes. And not to other people."

[notpatsy]

"I can't tell others about how adorable you are? That's cruel."

Just kidding of course, she doesn't mind having sides of Bruce mostly to herself.

[hyperkinesia]

"No one would believe you anyway. They'd just think you're crazy."

He's just a socially awkward dork to most other people, really.

[notpatsy]

"I guess I'll just have to settle for being smug about knowing more than people."

She gives him another long, lingering kiss before pulling away to get to her feet, holding out her hands to him.

"Come on, eggs."

[hyperkinesia]

He smiles lopsidedly in amusement, poking her sides a little once the kiss breaks.

"Eggs. Right. You know, I'm actually getting pretty hungry now."

He takes her hands and gets to his feet, tugging her along as he makes his way over to the small kitchenette taking up a corner of the room.

[notpatsy]

"Me too. There's just something about great orgasms that make me ravenous."

What? It was a great orgasm.

[hyperkinesia]

"That's good to hear. Too bad I have nothing better than eggs to offer."

He's a little lacking in food and ingredients right now, but he procures the butter and eggs from the fridge, getting a small frying pan from a cupboard and making his way to the old stove to start on the eggs.

"Really, you're going to just give me an opening like that?"

Said as she wraps her arms around him from behind, giving his neck a little bite.

He's got a lot more than eggs to offer.

"What? What opening?"

He glances over his shoulder a little, letting out a soft chuckle when he realizes what she means.

"I meant food-wise, obviously."

[notpatsy]

"Yes, but if I took it that way I would be passing up an opportunity to come on to you so..."

Giving him a bit of a squeeze and kissing his cheek since he so conveniently offered it to her.

[hyperkinesia]

"Right. As if you need an opening like that to come onto me."

He goes back to making the eggs, not minding that she stays close like that so long as he still manages to move his arms freely.

[notpatsy]

She has no intention of obstructing the movements of his arms, she really does want those eggs. She just also really does want to stay close to him.

"Do you mind?"

[hyperkinesia]

"What, that you stay where you are, or that you come onto me?"

He pauses on stirring the eggs for a moment just to glance at her.

"Actually, the answer is 'no' on both of those. I don't mind at all."
