When he goes out he will find Trish making herself comfortable on his mattress and wearing one of his t-shirts and a pair of his underwear, because she knows he enjoys when she wears his clothes.
"Don't feel like you need to cover up on my account."
Said jokingly as she leans on her elbows, watching him appreciatively.
He gives her a flat stare at that, along with an amused little smile, and just for her viewing pleasure, he tugs off the towel and throws it in her general direction.
"I know I don't. But it might be a little tricky to make those scrambled eggs in the nude."
As he goes find himself a pair of boxers and a t-shirt of his own, he does so slowly, knowing very well she's watching him all the while. Probably not a great idea to be doing that when he's still aroused but he'll cope.
You just gotta love a man who is willing to put on a little bit of a show for his lady.
It feels almost surreal that they are back to this so quickly, the friendly teasing, the sexual intimacy... but then again much of that had slid into place rather quickly from the very start. It was as if they sort of already knew the basics of being together before they even met, which is a ridiculous and overly romantic notion but Trish is going to allow herself that thought anyway.
It's strange, definitely, considering how their initial meeting here went, but Bruce isn't about to complain. For the first time in months he feels more like himself again, and not just that-- he feels like there is a purpose to his life, when before he was just roaming aimlessly. More importantly, he feels genuinely happy. That's not something he'd imagined would happen again, not so easily at least.
He puts on his boxers, then shrugs on his t-shirt, making his way over to the bed and sitting on the edge of the mattress next to her.
"And as long as I look great, it doesn't matter that I burn myself with sprinkles of hot grease?"
"I know, I'm hilarious. Should've been a standup comedian."
She leaves his ear alone after her first little bite, only because he just got his arousal situation somewhat under control and she doesn't want to be horrible to him. She does keep her arms around him, which isn't the best way to get scrambled eggs but she doesn't care.
It feels a little bit like they're a couple of smitten teenagers, making out on a mattress like this, but she really doesn't mind that at all.
So she kisses Bruce, and lets the simple pleasure of that for the moment wash away any traces of fear and doubt that might remain in her. Sure, they'll have hard days coming up, all couples do, but this, their long separation... it doesn't have to define them, no more than it in the end defined her relationship with Jessica.
He's certainly not in any rush, and it's not like he's starving either. On the other hand, he's missed this so much, her scent and her voice, the sound of her laugh, the curve of her smile, the taste of her kiss. It seems much more imperative to keep kissing her than to do anything else.
He could stay like this for hours or days on end, he thinks. Just holding each other, kissing and stroking each other's hair, waiting until every part of him is filled with her, and he feels whole again.
His head tilts to deepen the kiss, his fingers continuing to stroke her hair while his other arm curls tighter around her, tugging her closer to him.
She complies, lips parting to allow his tongue entrance between them, she too burying a hand in his hair, caressing and even gently pulling it a little.
This, this is what makes sense. Them being apart never did.
His tongue slips past her lips, softly tasting her mouth, sighing as he brushes the tip against her own tongue. He finds it all so sweeter than ever before, as if rediscovering all these things with her has him realizing how much more wonderful she is than his memory served him.
God, is he glad he doesn't have to survive on memories alone anymore. He doesn't know how he ever managed to go on without this - without her.
She's not entirely sure how serious she's being here, but she does know that she intends to stay in this place for a little while just to make sure that there isn't really any leads here.
Here or back in New York, he honestly doesn't care. It'd probably be good for the both of them to spend those first days away from prying eyes and nosy cameras anyway.
"I'm pretty sure they'll figure it out sooner or later."
Bruce isn't exactly planning to lock himself up indoors once he's back in New York, so he imagines it's just a matter of time until people see them together around the city.
Technically not an Avenger anymore, but-- yes. Bruce won't really care about that either. Actually chances are he won't even see those posts unless someone points them out to him.
"I don't think anyone will mind. It's cute when you're happy."

"True, but you'd look great trying."

She grins, sitting up to wrap her arms around him and nip a little at his earlope with her teeth.
"Yummy."

"Very amusing, Miss Walker."

Or maybe just a little bit. All in good humor, though. Really, he loves her.
He doesn't show any signs of wanting to move away either, his arms loosely wrapped around her as he presses a soft kiss to her lips.
"So, about those eggs..."
no subject
He can sit there and kiss her for a while, she's totally fine with that.
"I'm sure they won't mind you paying some attention to your girlfriend that you haven't seen in months."
no subject
"If they do, that's their problem."
One of his hands moves up, fingers touching her temple and sifting down the length of her hair starting there, while he leans in and kisses her again.

Just hiding from everything and rediscovering each other, making up for lost time.

Even talk show hosts get to take breaks every now and then, damnit.

He settles his arms loosely around her waist, lifting one shoulder in a half-shrug.
"Well... I'm pretty much unemployed and dependant on my very rich girlfriend right now, so this works for me."

It will be, ladies and gentlemen, because she has been getting laid.
