PORTHOS COME OUT
They had been working together for some time now, it was entirely normal to entertain coworkers in his expansive house. After all, when the 99th precinct threw its annual 4th of July party, he offered his home without question. Still, this was the first time he had ever invited less than five people into his abode since Anne died. She wanted this house and all its trappings, the pool and the stables and the acres of yard. Without her, it got lonely with only the dogs and the cat and the horses and the fully-stocked wine cellar.
But as he prepares a small feast in the open kitchen, he wonders how nice it will be to have company he trusts over, even though it's entirely to raw of territory to be entirely comfortable with. The house was big enough that if they destroyed a part of it out of some secret spite he never saw before, the rest will survive quite easily. It's with that cheery thought that he glanced up from his meticulous preparations at the sound of the doorbell. Ah, one of them was here. He turned down the burner and wiped his hands on a towel before making the journey through the foyer to the front door.
With a hint of a smile, he pulled the door open,] I see you found your way after all.

[ Anders doesn't need to be told much of anything when it comes to this. You could call it his area of expertise, even, and if Blaine's flirting techniques aren't the best it really doesn't matter, since Anders likes to run the show anyway, to take the lead if you will.
Feelings, though, he doesn't do that. Especially not when he's come to the States for a week-long stay, and in a couple of days he'll be going back to Kiwiland. And this, it's just the kind of fun and distraction he'd been hoping for even before getting here. Nothing like a good shag or two to keep his spirits up.
He followed that suggestion, of course, and took a hot shower, and just as he's stepping out of the tub there's the knocking of the door. So he makes his way there, patting himself down only slightly on the way, then slinging the towel over his shoulder as he peeks through the peephole.
Then, with a smile and no shame whatsoever, he opens the door. ] Hi. Oh, right--
[ He grabs the towel from his shoulder and throws it to the ground. ] Forgo the towel.

[ He doesn't get cold feet, no. Still, that doesn't mean he's not a little nervous about the whole thing, and admittedly unsure, but just like he'd told her, he sends her a quick text when he actually manages to calm himself down to a point in which he won't overthink this. Or tries to, at least.
The door feels a little too solid when he's physically standing right in front of it, and he freezes there for a few good minutes, still in the same clothes he had in the morning, his hair pretty much the same mess of curls as when he left to come here. For a moment he wonders if he should have fixed himself up a little - is that something people do? - then he's concerned that maybe he should've bought condoms - doesn't feel right of him to just assume she would have them, or that they would even be his size.
But it's a little too late to be thinking about that now. He's told her he was on his way a while ago, not to mention that knowing Natasha, she probably already knows he's been standing right outside the door for minutes now. So he shakes the worries from his head, raises a hand and rings the doorbell. ]
