[ Her laughter draws a chuckle from him, but eventually he lets go, leaning in to press a small kiss to her nose instead. ]

[Screw the party. Her nose scrunched when he kissed it and she pulled her head back to look at him.]

[ The answer was facilitated by the fact that he never wanted to be here to begin with. Unwinding his arms from around her, he took her hand instead, nodding sideways. ]

[Holding onto his hand as she weaved through people, it was only when they got outside that she felt like she could breathe.]

[ Twining their hands together, he started down the sidewalk and away from the party, the noise growing more distant the farther away they got. ]

[Smiling up at him, Daisy bumped the side of her hip into his.]

Hmm, I don't know... [ He scrunched up his nose in a mock frown. ] You look kinda heavy. But I can try and find a skate, I guess. Get you to sit on it and just push you down the street.

[Daisy reached a hand up as if her nose had actually grown and put her hand over it.]

[ He just barely managed to bite back a chuckle, though his lips twitched into a crooked grin. ]

[ Turning to the side just so, he grabbed her wrists and tugged her hands away, leaning in to nip lightly at the tip of her nose. ]

[Letting him hold onto her hands, Daisy leaned into him with a smile finally back on her face.]

[ That was a compliment, right? He was taking it as one, anyway. ]

[He can't be this adorable and not expect her to kiss him again. Which is exactly what she's doing right now.]

[ So basically everything goes according to plan. Clearly he doesn't mind it in the least that she leans in to kiss him again.

Actually his arms wrap around her waist, pulling her close, seemingly intent on not letting her move away too soon. ]

[She's totally on board with that idea, although she does pull back from the kiss just long enough to ask:]

Can we go back to your place?

[ He smiles, stealing another quick kiss as he nods at the question. ]

Definitely, yeah.

Good. But do we have to walk the rest of the way?

[She just wanted to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible.]

Well, I can carry you the rest of the way, if you want.

[ He raised an eyebrow at her with a smile, ever so helpful. ]

I thought I was too heavy?

Well yeah, but I'm deceptively strong. [ He shrugged and winked at her, smiling. ] Piggyback, then? Should be fun.
