No reason is a good reason to wind up at a hospital, for crying out loud Betty.

They probably could safely make out back there, but it's definitely not something Ruth's trying for or even thinking of right now. It's still a little too daring for her, it would be even if they were a straight couple, and for now she's happy to just sit close and have Betty's arm around her shoulders, her head tipping just enough to lightly rest on Betty's own shoulder.

She can think of a few! They are young and invincible and life is an adventure!

Meanwhile, that's a huge fraction of what Betty's been thinking about pretty much since they stopped making out, but she's very content, especially the new understanding between them. They could be on opposite ends of the bus now and she'd still be glowing with happiness because Ruth said yes and that isn't getting old any time soon.

She brushes her lips against Ruth's hair and tries not to be too impatient about what is still a very nice moment. Two more stops.

Well, she can very well keep thinking about it until they're alone again, for now she'll have to cultivate that patience of hers for a little longer. It's not even that long a trip anyway, though Ruth takes advantage of those couple of stops to close her eyes a little, enjoying their closeness for what it is.

She'll trust Betty to see when they're approaching their stop, and once she lets her know, Ruth opens her eyes again and moves to get up, making her way over to the exit door.

Her patience? >:O

Even though it's Ruth's apartment, Betty leads the way, tugging Ruth along in her wake through one set of heavy glass doors after another. Three flights of stairs later, and she's breathless at the door, hugging Ruth from behind while she waits for her to get the door. (Because she'd rather hug Ruth now, obviously.)

"Too fast?" It sounds like she's just checking, but Ruth can be so shy, sometimes. Betty loves that about her, but she needs the reminder herself. Rushing at this point would be counterproductive.
