[holds her hand
waits for a moment
then grins]
-- three!! [running and jumping out that door]
no subject
[except only sort of]
[mild flailing while gripping of his hand as they drift off]
no subject
[also screaming]
[but mostly laughing]
[they're now floating in space while somehow breathing. how's that for impressive aren't you impressed clara.] We're literally in space!!
no subject
[mostly screaming, but then laughing and clinging to the doctor's hand as if that was the lifeline and not the rope]
This is...[and then she looks down at Mars. briefly distraught by the idea of plunging into it] A big planet.
no subject
And it's still smaller than Earth! I mean, if you think this is big, you should see Saturn. Or Jupiter. And that's just in this system.
[and pulling her closer in an attempted twirl] Let's dance!
no subject
[bites down a grin and reaches out for his other hand]
Is a space waltz really a waltz with no floor?
no subject
[really clara what sort of question is that. he's also holding back a grin, though]
[tightens his arm around her, then spins around in the nothingness] ... maybe I should've added some background music. Ohh, now I think of that.
no subject
Not going to start singing..or humming, are you?
no subject
[whatever, starts humming anyway. also definitely not peeking over her shoulder at that very short skirt, bless.]
no subject
[no actually this is kind of nice. His hum matches the beat of his hearts when she rests her head against his chest. Only for a moment until-
the harnesses jolt from the rope pulling tight.
Tentatively looks back]
Made it out pretty far.
no subject
[glances back at the rope as well, but they're perfectly safe as planned]
Told you. It's been tested, you see. Besides it's much more fun than wearing astronaut suits, I do have those too. I think. Or scuba diving suits. Constricting, really, and far too tight in places.
no subject
Yeah, I've seen the suit, it's ghastly.
no subject
[rambling on and on, don't you give him that look missy]
no subject
[gives him a tug when he keeps talking, really it's for your own good]
What's so bad about Mars anyway. What did they do?
no subject
oh right]
The name says it all-- Ice Warriors. They were peaceful at first actually, just builders, artisans and the like. Though that's usually the norm, almost all races are peaceful at first but I suppose it gets lost along the way. [glances down for a moment] A shame... really. Anyway!
[not talking about sad things or about war or civilizations dying that's horrible] We've danced in space! How about we swim in space?
no subject
Pardon my being silly, but how does one swim through nothing?
no subject
[skips the explanation on how it's not nothing and lets go of her]
[inhales and inflates his cheeks before he mimics diving his head underwater and doing a few breaststrokes away from her, then resurfaces for air]
Space swimming! Real sport. Should be, at least. Maybe it is... Ah-ha! I just invented a sport!
no subject
[now she feels stupid so she just grabs her rope to pull herself back a little]
Can't wait to see that one lift off.
no subject
[grinning. and look now, he's hanging upside down. though there is no upside.
surprisingly long hair flowing through the air around them.]
no subject
Make sure to require hair caps, yeah? [swoops hair back]
I think I'm ready to go back [she's starting to feel queasy]
no subject
[cheeky grin. but he's pulling himself into the TARDIS again, by clinging onto the rope, until he manages to land one foot past the door, then wobbles, another foot, almost falls back out but throws himself in at the last moment.]
[twirl twirl twirl then picks up clara's rope, and starts reeling her in.] To the rescue!
no subject
[maybe]
[just scrambling to follow after him before he can start reeling her in]
It's just we've got-
..other things on the agenda.
[gets a foothold at the edge of the TARDIS and stumbles into him by the sudden appearance of gravity]
no subject
[open arms and all. hugs for a moment then starts helping her out of the harness]
Planets to go, civilizations to see! Not a moment to waste!
no subject
[doesn't get stuck, plays it cool by flattening her skirt and skipping ahead to the console]
So what've you got next hm?
no subject
[hands on her shoulders, peeks at some screen with what looks like static]
Yes, ah! No, your choice. I'm feeling quite random today. Or, rather, I randomly felt like being random at a random day that happened to be today.
[what. okay then. pushing buttons and stuff, list pops up on the screen, rolling down quickly] Just press the button anytime. And before you ask, any button, doesn't matter, though I am particularly fond of big red buttons. Whatever we get is where the TARDIS is going!!
