Riliana normally wouldn't feel bad about distracting him at work or making him think about what he has to come home to, but considering what she has planned for tonight has nothing to do with good drinks and mind-blowing sex, there's just the briefest flash of regret. He's been expecting something wonderful all afternoon and now she's going to prove him so very wrong.

She lets him draw her in close, not just because she's missed him immensely today, but also because she's worried that as soon as he finds out what's happened, he'll draw away. Licking her lips, she smiles, but doesn't lean in for another kiss.

"Well, I'm very glad to hear that," she says, backing them up toward the couch. "But before we move on to anything fun, there is something that we need to talk about." She doesn't say the S-word. Serious. That just casts things in a negative light from the start. Nothing good ever comes of a Serious Talk, does it?

"Sit with me while we do?" she asks, wanting to curl up with him on the couch just the way they do sometimes when she wants to watch a movie.
