Jim snorted at the yawn she just barely managed not to let out, grinning as he leaned in to kiss her. "Mm, guess you were all talk when you said you could last the whole night..."

He was teasing, of course. He was pretty exhausted himself, after having gone to bed late the previous night, then barely getting any sleep before he was getting up again ridiculously early. The prospect of getting some sleep now, with Mary in his arms too, was far too good for him to even think about putting it off.

Reaching up to tug the covers down, he urged Mary to move, so they could both crawl into bed properly.
