Jim would be lying if he said he hadn't been looking forward to this moment, or that he hadn't imagined it time and again when he was alone in his bed at night, so much so that at times he used his own hands to find some relief. He wanted her terribly. But that didn't take away from the fact that he loved her too, and that he enjoyed her company most of all, even when they couldn't yet have sex.

He expected it would be the same, now. Sex was definitely an added perk, but it wasn't the reason why he was with her, not by a long shot.

His arms curled around her waist as soon as she was close enough, pulling her in as he returned that brief kiss with one of his own, lingering for a little while longer.
