His words made Mary cling even more tightly to his chest. As much as it pained her to hear it, she appreciated his honesty.

"I don't know how I would go on if they killed you. You're everything to me now."

It was a predicament, and one that she did not see having a good end. That was why it was so much easier to not think about it.

"I used to think pirates were brutal, but you're not. You may do illegal things, but you're one of the kindest and most accepting men I've ever met."
