Mary laughed at how quickly he made his way to the bed. She immediately slid into his arms, then pushed him flat on his back. One knee went over his body and she sat gently on his abdomen. Mary took a moment to shake out her damp hair, letting it fall in waves over her shoulders.

She leaned down to kiss his lips. "I love you," she whispered as she pulled back.
