Jim chuckled a little at her words, curling an arm around her as her back rested against his chest. "I know. And you can help, I don't mind that. I just mind it if you put yourself at risk without knowing what to do."

If she didn't know what she was dealing with, then chances were she'd only endanger herself and possibly others. That, of course, could only be fixed one way.

"Since that's what you want, then I can teach you. We all can. About the ship, and about sailing. Everything you need to know," he ran a hand along her hair slowly, kissing her temple. "You might have to start with changing your clothes, though. A dress isn't very practical."
