He almost lets out a whine when she breaks the kiss, but the sound turns into a groan when she speaks, images conjured up in his head that, along with the way she's rubbing herself against his crotch, spread a shiver all across his body.
His hands tug on her hips more forcefully, lips parted as he lets out short, audible breaths, still trying hard to keep them paced, an exercise in self-control he's learned to perfect over the years. Granted, he doesn't have much practice in this context, but still.

And it had been plenty depressing for him too, not to mention guilt-inducing - especially when he found himself hard just thinking about it.
